Alternatives to Camping Activities

If you have been on the road and engaged in your own camping activities for some days or weeks it is sometimes great just to be able to enjoy a local experience and take a tour. Yes I know it all sounds rather mundane and perhaps it is the very thing you are trying to avoid! However local operators can often provide additional insight into the area and take you places you mightn’t ordinarily have access to.

Granted these trips can be on the expensive side, but not all are and at least you don’t have to organise it all.

Some of the following tours we have taken were absolutely wonderful… some not so good. To give you some idea about our opinion we have a simple ranking system. The more stars the better, with 5 stars being fantastic. These are all quite recent (mid 2008) and we hope to add to the list.
